FREE Scrapbook Stuff

Ok guys heres the deal, there is a Making Memories Warehouse in SLC that gets ride of stuff off and on. Today they have a whole bunch of wooden letters (A,E,F,G) and shapes (stars, flowers, hearts, amperstand, etc.), along with paints, and other cool stuff. The address is approx. 4800 w 1751 s. off of 1730 s. - if you want more directions give me a call or post to me. From Tooele take the 5600 w exit off I-80 and from Provo take the Bangeter exit off hwy 201 (AKA. 2100 S.) They did say that whatever isn't picked up by 4:00pm they are putting in the trash, so you might have to do some dumpster diving. We usually take a couple of cars load them with as much as we can and share with everyone in the ward and family members. But you can do what you would like. Who doesn't like free stuff....

The Outcome of National Chocolate Day

Ok as you all are well aware yesterday was National Chocolate Day, but even though this should be a "Family Holiday" I chose to spend the evening with the Young Women, playing a game called the "Walmart Game" for mutual. This game is played by splitting into groups and each group picking out 10 items to put in the cart within 15 mins. Then the carts are swapped and the opposite team has to put everything back where it goes. The team that empties their cart first wins.... Anyways, after we finished playing this game we decided it would be nice of us to let everyone else that we ran into know that is was "National Chocolate Day". However, the girls (12-13 year olds) were big chickens and didn't dare tell anyone so me being their fearless leader felt the need to be a good samaritan to let these people know. Once I started they also started to get the hang of it. We did get some crazy looks and comments, but the best thing about the evening was after we left Walmart we took them to Maceys to get ice cream cones and the girl working was so excited about learning the it was National Chocolate Day she gave us all chocolate ice cream cones for FREE!!! Wooo Hoo! How awesome is that..... We did have one girl that didn't like chocolate ice cream so we had to pay $ .50 for hers, but all in all it worked out great for us.

Just a small reminder that today is "National Chocolate Day" eat all the chocolate you want with OUT all the guilt that comes with. Thanks Joey for finding the list of national holidays. This one is very important to me. If I ever become President of the U.S. this WILL me made a paid holiday!!! Feel free to write me in on the ballet next week! :)

FHE

Tonight for FHE we held our annual Pumpkin Carving evening. We started out by finding an image worthy of being placed on our carefully chosen pumpkins (purchased on Saturday to save time). Then came the oowie gowie mess that comes with gutting out the insides. We then learned a trick this year that actually worked quiet well, after poking the wholes in the pumpkin to form the pattern so you know where to cut, you rub the pumpkin with flour and it fills in the holes so you can see where you need to cut alittle better. The boys had a lot of fun and were eager to help... And this is our final product...

Trunk-or-Treat

So our ward Trunk-or-Treat was last night, why a week early I'm not sure, but the kids had so much fun. There costumes turned out ssssoooo cute. I think I was just as excited for them to wear them as they were. What were they you ask, well you will just have to wait until halloween to see the final product..... I'll give you a hint, the boys were dressed as the same thing, accessoriesing (is that a word?) with a whip and Allie was pink with a rainbow on her belly.....

"Another Surprise Friday"

This week for surprise friday we decided it was time for the kids to be introduced to an air popcorn popper. You would have thought we took them to Disneyland. They were laughing and hopping up and down with excitment the entire time it was popping. After taking a vote, it was decided we wanted caramel popcorn instead of just butter flavored. It was good stuff.... We then watched Goonies with them, which they also loved... Justin is all about the "chuffle shuffle" and One Eyed Willie. This was one of the movies that was watched many, many, many times at my house growing up, not to mention the hours spent listening to my brother Craig replay the whole movie on his own and making us all laugh. WOW, GOOD TIMES!

$2.99 WOW

Woo Hoo! Can I even tell you how excited I am to see this price at the gas pump... I could hardly believe it was under $3.00, I didn't think I would live to see the day! I wanted to take a picture of the sign, but didn't have my camera with me... Oh well, I'm sure you have all seen it for your selves, but if not you will just have to trust me. I SAW IT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!!!!

Monday, October 20, 2008

Wow, it sure is challenging to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time! Believe it or not Justin (the almost 6 year old) was the hardest one to deal with. The boys sure had fun climbing in the trees and Allie REALLY enjoyed eating the sticks and leaves.
We just went up Middle Canyon here in Tooele and had my sister take these pictures for us. Thanks Kristen! These are some of my favorite ones that were taken. They sure turned out cute.

Is it to early for Christmas???

Wow, I think we were the first to get our letters to Santa this year! Justin insisted he needed to "place his order" to Santa early. So for FHE Monday night that is just what we did after having a lesson on how it is important to service and give to other. When Derrick got home from work and I was telling him what Justin was wanting to do for FHE he totally agreed with Justin about getting them in early and eaged him on. I live with a bunch of NERDS! I sure love 'em all though! During the lesson we kept getting this comment "yeah, yeah, can we get on with this!" I pretty much think my kids are brats!

COAL! I think thats what is heading our way this christmas. Does anyone know where we can buy it cheaper by the TON...

Justin's idea of service was writing Logan's and Allie's letters for them, he was quite concerned about them getting theres in too. What a good big brother! He checks the mail everyday for there letters from Santa. Does he reply to every letter?
It looks like X-Box 360 (three-sixety, he was sounding it out himself), Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman Games for the 360 are our big request this year. Along with a set of Batman Legos and a Indiana Jones whip of his own. Logan's is pretty much the same and apparently Allie wants a Doll, Barbie and Baby Lego's.

Indiana Jones

Both of the boys are wanting to be Indiana Jones for Halloween and it was just our luck that a good friend of ours had, not 1, but 2 whips for us to borrow. Justin and Logan where both so excited we had to watch the "Last Crusade" when we got home. Justin informed us that when he grows up he is going to change his name to "Indiana Jones," Logan thought that was a good idea and is also wanting to be "Indiana Jones" when he growns up! That night they also had to slept with them, but the excitement doesn't end there. When they woke up they insisted on going out side to whip them and make them 'Snap', but to be JUST LIKE Indy, Logan kept trying to whip himself on the chin so that he could make himself bleed like Indy did, but when he saw the neighbors cat he target changed! He is quit entertaining, expecially when he uses it to swing from the doorknobs and bunkbends. I did have to remind him that Indiana Jones doesn't pee his pants and that his whip was going to get taken away if he couldn't remember. Fun Stuff, huh! We sure love our boys!

5 Months Old

I can't believe it's been 5 months since our little Allie joined our family. She is getting so big. During this last month not only has she learned to sit up by herself, but she's been able to get where she wants to go by scooting and rolling. She has been getting up on her hands and knees to crawl for two weeks now and is starting to get the hang of it. She is starting to eat baby food now and LOVES it! She is such a happy baby and smilies at anyone just for looking at her. LOVE YOU TO PIECES ALLIE!

Allie Einstein

Justin has been begging me all week to put up our Halloween decorations, so finally on Saturday evening while Derrick was at the priesthood session we got them out. I have a little Einstein man that wears these glasses, but this is what happens when I leave the room for a second. Those brothers sure think there funny!

Surprise Friday Bowling

Friday night we surprised the kids and took them bowling. We all had alot of fun! Just as we were finishing up our game the Disc Bowling started. The lights turned off, the the strobe lights turned on and the music began. The kids thought it was pretty cool... We also found out the boys knew how to dance! They've got quite 'The Moves'! When I figure out how to add video footage I will, so you can see 'The Moves' i'm talking about...

Frosting

Does Logan look alittle surprised that I walked into the kitchen and found him eating the frosting out of the container by the spoonful? I don't know how many times I put those away just to walk back into the kitchen to find him eating them again. I'll tell you what, Logan and Sugar seem to go hand in hand. You usually don't get one without the other.... This one sure keeps us on our toes...

Boys and Bruises

I received a phone call from the school today to let me know that Justin had gotten hurt while at recess. She said he had a pretty good sized goose egg on his head and wanted to know if I felt like I needed to come look at it. I asked if I could just talk to Justin for a minute, which was probably not the best idea, because he started crying all over again once I started talking to him. He said the ice was helping, but said it would feel better if I just picked him up early from school. Lucky for him it was almost time for school to get out so I didn't have a problem with him missing 30 minutes of kindergarten. He had the saddest eyes when I showed up at the school and then the tears started all over again. Poor guy, it is still huge tonight. Dad made sure to give him a lecture on 'being tough on the play ground', so the other kids don't think his a wimp, but I'm pretty sure I hear about it for weeks everytime he hurts/pulls a muscle so i'm not sure whose the wimp.... I'm sorry you got hurt today buddy!
