OH CRAP!

These are the first words that came to mind on Saturday when I saw this....

I haven't been feeling the best, but I wasn't expecting this. I decide to take a test only so I could rule it out as an option. As you can see that didn't work out so well for me.

A good friend of mine does ultrasounds for the hospital out here so I called in a favor, since I've still been nursing Allie and have had no way of knowing how far along I was. Being the awesome person she is, she met me over there tonight to determine that I was 6 weeks and 5 days along putting the due date Feb 17, 2010.

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, seems how somedays I don't think I can handle the 3 kids I already have and Allie just celebrated her 1st birthday last month, putting them a bit closer then I would have planned for. I just pray the Lord knows what he's doing! :)

2009 Baseball Opening Ceremonies and T-Ball games

Baseball Opening Ceremonies April 25, 2009
All the teams on the field
Go Mariners!
It was SO cold at the opening ceremonies.
We were good sports about it until it started to pour.
He ran to the car and waited for Derrick and Justin there. Even though there was a lot of this going on during the games...
There was still some of this...
and quite a bit of this...
But there was especially ALTO of this...
Justin REALLY liked to be catcher.
He sure looked cute all geared up.
It was a fun watching Justin and seeing the differences in how well he did this season compared to last. His 1st game was on May 5th and was every Tuesday and Thursday through he month of May and June. It sure was enough to keep us busy that's for sure. What are we going to do when Logan in old enough to start play sports. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!

My New FHE Chart

I've been wanting to make a FHE Chart for us and I finally got around to doing it.
It's a magnet border covered with papers and embellishments and out pictures have little magnets on them to move them around. I think it turned out pretty darn cute...
The kids won't leave the pictures alone though so it kind of defeats the purpose right now. Oh well, one more thing off my checklist.
Oh goodie, I do love checklist (Meet the Robinson's)

3 New Dishwashers

I put a load of dishes in the dishwasher last night and the dumb thing wouldn't turn on. The crappiest part of the whole thing was, that we had just had our Sunday dinner (roast, potatoes and gravy, broccoli, etc), so it's the one day out of the week that I actually use more then 1 pan. Had I known I was going to have to wash by hand I would have tried a little harder not to use every pan in the house (listen to me complain). Anyways, instead of washing them myself I hired myself some helpers.... Justin's initial responds was something like this, "this is actually kind of fun". Logan of course just agrees with everything Justin says. About 10 minutes into it, the tune changed "I hate this", "this is so dumb", "why do we have to do this", "I'm so bored". I did make them finish. It took them about 40 minutes, but I knew they had it in 'em. Good Job Boyz! Your my big helpers!
It is worth noting though, that Derrick did the dinner dishes tonight and wouldn't ya know it shortly after he decided it was time to have a look at it. After talking to his dad he was able to temporally bypass the part that was making it not work and bod-a-bing bod-a-bang I have a working dishwasher again.

Swimming Lessons

Today was the boys 1st day of swimming lessons. This is actually Justin's 3rd time taking lesson, but it was the 1st all together for Logan. And let me just tell you, he was excited. He has been counting down the days for the past week and last night going to bed I had to keep reassuring him that it really was "tomorrow during the wake up time" he was going to get to finally go. The kid HATES getting his ears in the water so I didn't know how he would react when they had him float on his back, but my worrying was for nothin', he didn't even hesitate. And Justin, I think he was just excited to take lessons again because this time his cousin was taking it with him. Kristen decided to sign up Kylee with Logan and Kami with Justin. Everytime Logan would talk about swimming lessons this past week, Justin always added on "but Kami's doing it with me, right mom?" Those two would be connected at the hips if we would let them.
They worked with Justin on the backstroke, which his arms when every which direction, but he did great on just the regular swimming. Both of 'em, little fish I'll tell ya!

A-Horse, B-Four wheeler or C-BIKE....

Which one of these 3 items is the proper transportation when herding cattle. Well in our case
D-All of the above....

Every year, for the past 3 years, we have been able to go spend a weekend in Idaho with Derrick's older brother to help him move his cattle 8 miles down the road to a different pasture for the summer. Now you think that 8 miles really isn't a long ways, well tell the cows and calves that. This is actually an all day event. We usually start around 8:00 a.m. and get back to the house around 3:30 p.m. with and 30 min pizza break off the side of the road. Derrick has always enjoyed riding one of the horses and I am usually content riding in the truck that follows behind to slow down traffic, but this year I decided to shack things up a bit and actually join the herd... We had 6 horses, 8 four wheelers and 1 bicycle, as part of our crew this year. It was a little smaller then the past few years, but we still managed to get the job done. The boys really like riding the horse with their dad and wasn't ever to thrilled with having to get off the horse to get on with me, but it was better then having to get in one of the cars. The one time Logan came to ride with me he said "I'm ready to ride the cow now." For some reason he was set on riding one of the cows. Crazy kid! The crazy part is, is that I think Derrick was planning on getting one of the calves once we got to the pasture for him to get on, but when in started to hail the last mile of our ride, that idea was long gone. But even through the hail, the boys still refused to get in the truck.

Derrick's brother, Scott, was nice enough to give up his horse for one of his sister-in-laws to ride which left him walking for a lot of it, until he discovered the bike his father-in-law had in the back of his truck. Derrick even decided to take a turn on the bike so his brother could get back in the saddle again... Allie did SO good on this little excursion. I new she wouldn't do so well in the truck all day, so she was the main reason I decided to ride. She was happy as can be and because of the little contraption we concocted, she didn't even have to miss her nap. And the best part was I didn't have to hold her up that whole time. Now, it may be a little redneckish, but hey it worked! She did NOT cry even one time. It was great and actually some what relaxing.

This has actually been something that we have all come to enjoy and look forward to every year. For Derrick, just being in Idaho on a farm, dressing up like a cowboy, brings back a lot of childhood memories, as for my boys they are creating new memories I know they will always cherish.

Kindergarten Graduation 2009

Good job Buddy, you worked really hard this year. We are so proud of you! Kaylee Rushton, Conner Story, Garrett Overman, Jonah Neilson and Justin.
Justin's really good friends at church and school.
Justin's teacher was suppose to be Mrs. Thompson, but 3 weeks into school she was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to finish the school year. They didn't know how long she was going to be out so the called in a temp sub which just so happened to be Mrs. Becky, the Young Women's President I've been serving with for the last 2 1/2 years. Mrs. Thompson was planning on coming back after spring break, but after a week of being back she was to warn out and decided it was better for her to take the rest of the year off. Mrs. Becky gladly filled in again. She did a fantastic job and Justin really loved her. He was very comfortable with her, considering he saw her not only at school everyday, but when she was at our house once a week for a presidency meeting, at church on Sundays and then every now and then on mutual nights. I really liked being able to hear all about the way he would act at school and the things he would say and do when I'm not around. Especially when she would tell me about the girls that would chase him at recess until they finally gave up because he wouldn't give them the time of day. He was to busy doing boy stuff...
Thanks Mrs. Becky, You did a GREAT job!
