Sisters

It has been ALOT of fun watching Allie with her new baby sister. She has been such a big helper and surprisingly I haven't seen any jealousy. In fact every time she sees Abbie she says "it's still my turn. I need to hold her on my yap". She sure loves her little sister and you can already tell that Little Abbie is going to LoVe her big sissy...

2 weeks old

I've decided that 2 weeks flies by alot faster just after having a baby then it ever has at any other point in my life.
How am I suppose to cherish these moments if they go by so fast?
She didn't like Allie's Build-A-Bear outfit so much, but it was a perfect fit! :)

Allie felt like she needed to get in on the picture taking.

What a cute little stink!

Thanks Nikki Lou for spending the day with me and taking these for me.

Even though little Coy scratched her eye right before. Oops! ;)

Toothless

Justin has had this tooth hanging by a thread for a few days now, but tonight Derrick told him it was time to come out. He insisted on doing it himself. So after 10-20 mins of walking around with dental floss tied to it and slightly yanking on it he gave up and decided he was too chicken. Derrick told him he would untie it for him. HA! I'm not sure why anyone would trust a mischievous person such as him... Hence the end result... You look good buddy!

Induction Day

We arrived at the hospital at 6:00 am for our scheduled induction. Everything was looked good and was going well. They came and broke my water around 10:00 am so I figured it would go pretty fast after that, just as it has in the past. NO, for some strange reason, unknown to us, they decided to turn off the Pit drops for a while, as a result turning off my progression as well. We sat and sat. And sat and sat, with little to no progression. They finally came and turned them back on, but at that same time my O2 levels kept dipping and making them nervous. Nothing a little O2 couldn't handle. Finally after many times of rotating from side to side and making me lay down more (because I liked sitting up so I could breath better) our little surprise decided it was time to come. Or maybe it was finally because my mom came to check on us and then left since we were still going to be awhile. With all four of my kids she has came to the hospital determined to be close by for the birth (not necessarily in the room). With Justin she came, I was at a 5, so she left to run a quick errand. We called her 20 min later telling her we had the baby and she would need to come to find out what it was. She didn't believe us until she came and they wouldn't let her in the room because they were still getting everything cleaned up. Then with Logan she came and decided she would take Justin on a short walk out in the waiting room area and when she came back 10-15 mins later I had, had him. I delivered both of them in Orem, so when she found out I was delivering Allie her in Tooele, she was determined not to miss it. She hung out for a few hours but with the rate we were going she decided it seemed safe to run home for a moment. Before she had even reached her house we had called to tell her we had the baby. So I sat ALL day waiting for Abbie to come while my mom when and enjoyed a leisure lunch with her friend, calling to check on things every so often, with no progression at all. she finally stopped by, but nothing had been happening all day. She decided once again to run home and within 30 mins Abbie joined this crazy world. If you ask me it was pretty rude that mom didn't meet us at the hospital when we arrived there at 6:00 am and then maybe she could have left around 6:30 am so this baby could have came a little sooner! :)
We were pretty excited to find out it was another girl and decided we couldn't have planned our family more perfectly, 2 rough and tough boys in a row and then 2 sweet and precious little girls in a row. Since we have never found out what we were expecting it's always been fun to make the grandparent come to the hospital to find out what we had as well. Unfortunately it didn't work out quite the same way this time. Derricks mom stayed with the kids while we were at the hospital and since due to the H1N1 virus that was rapidly spreading, they weren't able to come and visit. So rather then keeping them in suspense for 24 hours til we were able to bring her home, we called to let them know. Justin asked immediately if it was a sister, so we asked him what we would name her if it was a sister? He said "Abbie". Derrick said "well, I think we have an Abbie in our family". They were so excited.

Wrestling

Derrick decided to have Justin try wrestling this year. He started going to the practice in November and had his first tornament in Spanish Fork on Dec 12th. He wasn't to thrilled about the whole wrestling thing, but he was super excited because his best friend Titus was coming to watch him wrestle and then we were going to spend the day at there house while be were down that direction.

It didn't take him long to figure out that if he got pinned it was all over. LOL. He did fight alittle, but not with as much determination and we were kind of hoping for.

It's a good thing they gave all the young kids participation medals, because in his mind that made the whole thing worth it.
His next tournament was at Brighton High School. It started out being quite an ordeal because they didn't get the email the coach had sent days before letting them know who was coming. So they didn't know any of the people from Tooele would be there. We spent most of the morning waiting for them to arrange brackets for our kids to wrestle in. Justin spent his time sleeping so when it was finally time for him to wrestle (3 hours later) he was ownry, to make matters worse the first kid he had to wrestle was bigger then him and way more experienced. Plus he hurt his finger during the match. I felt so bad standing on the side lines watching him cry and not being able to do anything for him. I was so proud at how hard he kept trying through it all. He didn't just roll over and let himself get pinned, he kept trying.

On his 2nd match he started to cry before he even got on the mat because he was affraid he was going to get hurt again. After a little pep talk I finally talked him into giving it another try, which he did and he wrestled his heart out. He did so good, but still ended up getting pinned. But he TRIED and thats all we wanted.

His 3rd match for of the day was another kid from Tooele and once again was pinned. But once again he kept trying. The participation medal once again got him excited to try again.

He wrestled last Saturday up in Heber, which he was excited about because Grandma & Grandpa H. would be there to watch him and we would be spending the weekend at their house.

And once again even though he lost all 3 matches the medal made it worth it.

Unfortunatly, I forgot my camera at this one and I forgot to get the pictures from grandma before we left. So those will have to come later.

He is suppose to have 2 more tournaments and then the big brawl, but we decided we put him through enough for one season and would throw in the towel a little early. Expecially since we've kind of got alot going on anyways. We need our saturdays.

Logan is pretty excited that he gets to start in the fall so hopefully we can get Justin a little more motivated by then. Logan was his brothers #1 fan. He would yell from the stands "try to stand up Justin", "get off your back", "good job justin" or even "do some push-ups while you're waiting" (I think he saw another kid doing them). What a good little coach. He was also the first one there to give him a high five and tell him good job when he came back to sit down.

I hope Justin see's how much his little brother loves and admires him. I hope he always understands the importance of being a good influence on him.

Maybe today will be the day...

that I can actually play catch up on my blog.... I have a feeling it's going to take longer then the time I have at the moment. But we shall see.
